Living through the day is daunting. Every day, we carry out multiple activities and experience several emotions, both positive and negative ones. Without having a systematic way of going through the day, you'll be overstressed at the end of each day. 

The act of daily living is often underrated, and most people don’t understand that they must learn how to handle different daily challenges in order to take full control of their lives. The day is filled with ups and downs unlike the night, that’s why most people can’t wait to get through their daily work.

Daily rhythm is a systematic way of organizing and carrying out the activities scheduled for each day. It means to perform your daily activities in an orderly and predictable manner. You have some sets of activities scheduled for a different time of the day and days of the week. By so doing, you create a mental image of what you want to do, which empowers you to take charge of your day.

How do you find your daily rhythm? 

You can find your daily rhythm by judiciously putting your time and energy on the activities that contribute towards your goals, and by letting go of the things that distract you. 

Why do people find it hard to live through the day? 

Firstly, people underestimate the number of hours in a day, thus, fail to create a proper plan to navigate it. We have 24 hours of darkness and daylight throughout each day, without a proper plan of using it, you will live with regret at the end of each day. 

Secondly, lack of financial, social and mental resources to meet daily challenges. 

Finally, it is difficult to make the best use of each day because we were taught to live for the future and not for the present. We save for the future, invest for the future, buy stocks for the future, educate ourselves for the future, and do most things for the future. One thing we weren’t taught to do is to live for the day.

After becoming an adult, and after achieving some of our dreams, we still worry about the future and don’t know how to live in the present moment, which was the future we anticipated some years ago. The truth is, no future lies outside this very split second. Only the past and the present are real, the future reveals itself to us one moment at a time. You can either embrace the period before you to work on your goals or use it to anticipate another future, the choice is yours.

The things you do each day adds up to the result you get in the future. If you don’t have planned sets of activities required to achieve your goals, you’ll be distracted by the activities carried out by others.

If you want to make the best out of life, simply master the activities that make up your day. Systematized your daily activities and carry them out in such a way that it becomes effortless. Life is either miserable or pleasurable by how effective you are in carrying out your daily activities. Therefore, concentrate on making the best use of your day. Plan your daily schedule and religiously follow through.

Some questions you need to ask yourself include: What do you do immediately after waking up? What do you do at the end of the day before going to bed? What factors do you consider when setting your daily schedule and in what order do you plan the things you do?  What do you do while in the bathroom? How do you decide what to eat or not to eat? How do you decide who to call and when to respond to your emails and social media messages? What informs your financial decisions? What informs what you read online or offline? When do you exercise, jog or clean the house? How do you recharge your energy when you are exhausted? How do you respond to people with negative energy? etc. The way you carry out different activities and respond to the events of each day determines whether you will end up with a good or bad day.

No matter how inconsequential the activities you scheduled for the day, if you don’t have effective means of attending to them, you’ll never be satisfied with your result.

 A day is a significant unit of life. You build your life one day at a time. To have a better future you must prepare to make the best use of each day.
